Scarlet Hope takes time to pray fervently over each and every single club we approach, we have prayed over these clubs for years and we know God is working even in the one’s we don’t visit weekly. This last Thursday proved that to be true; God was orchestrating a wonderful plan to give our team two additional clubs.
We had a huge outreach team Thursday night and the Lord had very different plans for some of our team.
Three of us arrived at Club 7 and there was only one dancer. There were no customers and it was dead quiet. B grabbed a plate and ate with us and so did A the bartender and BR the bouncer, but that was it. We had a great amount of food left over so we asked them what they would do with it if we left it there. The bartender A said she would take it over to another club down the road and said she has been doing that for awhile. So we asked if we could take it over there ourselves. She said absolutely, they’d love that. She said I’ll text the manager and tell him you are coming. She text him and he said come on over. We knew the club that we were about to go into was dangerous. Much more so than the one’s we were in.
But none the less we all felt the Holy Spirit moving so that’s what we were going to do with the intentions just to drop it off for the night. We walked in and W(the owner) wanted to see us. We went in this little back room that was grungy and nasty and there sat an older women, with beautiful teeth, hair and skin …..counting up all her money in the night! Her bar was hoppin! We walked in and told her who we were and she said yeah I know the “church ladies” ..we laughed and asked if we could set up the food for the night to serve the girls. Very very skeptically she said YES…I knew if we got pass W the LORD truly was at work.
We set up and there were 30-40 girls. Tons of customers and the bar was just crazy!! I saw several dancers that our team had known from the past clubs about 2 years ago. It was great to see them, but not so much in yet another club. Anyways….
Shortly before we had entered into this new club… I got a text from Julie. It read “we are going into two new clubs” I immediately called her… Julie and Jenny E. were at Club 8 and while they were there the new manager C brought Julie in the back office. Julie sat down and C said “why do you all do this?” before Julie could even speak, C said do you want to go into more clubs… before Julie could speak again C was on the phone with both two clubs we were not in. They both said YES come on over. Julie speechless didn’t know what to do …so she text me and that’s when we were pulling in the parking lot of the same club our manager at Club 7 had already called! We had a very clear sign from the Lord we were supposed to be in that club!!!
So Julie and Jenny took there left overs to the other club C had called and Chris, Laura and I went to the other club. It was absolutely wonderful!!!!!!
Both clubs asked us to come back again! and again!
We are very excited about serving in these two new clubs along with the one’s we already have been.
Please pray for the Lord to provide the food to bring to these clubs. We completely rely on the Lord to provide our meals and he has taken care of us every single week through the hands and feet of people all around. We are certain he will provide enough to serve these women as well!***
