OUR STORY
Sharing the hope & love of Jesus with exploited & trafficked women in Los Angeles…
God has been crafting and calling our mission to Los Angeles. We have been actively praying that the hope and love of Jesus would reach ALL women in the adult entertainment industry and for God to send us to the darkest places where the industry is great. Over the last sixteen years, we have witnessed God redeem women all over the country with the hope of Jesus, and we are excited about bringing our model of outreach, community, and discipleship to the LA area! So far, we have an amazing church partner in Santa Clarita that has been walking alongside us to bring this mission to life, and we have been training individuals to be digital missionaries in LA and reach the 46,000+ women being exploited online! We know the Lord is continuing to advance the mission forward, and we would love for you to join us.

Outreach
Text Outreach
Our first initiative is Text Outreach. Through our text outreach software, we have identified 46,000+ potential victims of online exploitation in Los Angeles. We are building a team of Digital Missionaries to begin reaching women online with the hope of the gospel. Digital Missionaries seek to provide a safe and secure space for individuals exploited online to hear the hope of Jesus while receiving support and the resources necessary to break free from a life of hopelessness.
Volunteer Opportunities
The first step to becoming a volunteer is to attend an upcoming Volunteer Orientation. At Orientation, we’ll provide an overview of our ministry and ways to serve, and from there, you can apply to become a volunteer.
Community
First, we GO to women wherever they are. Then we invite them IN to experience gospel-centered community. In this community, not only do we teach the love of Christ, but we show the love of Christ through authentic, no-strings-attached relationships. We help meet their basic physical needs by offering tangible resources that meet physical needs that they have. More importantly, we meet spiritual needs by pointing them to Jesus, praying with and for them, teaching them how to read the Bible, and showing them what love and friendship in Christ look like.

Discipleship
The third pillar of our model is Discipleship, and this will look different for every woman we serve. Some women may come to know Christ the first time we meet them, and others may take years to trust us and be open to the gospel. As women from the adult entertainment industry come to salvation in Christ, we invite them to participate in bible studies, connect them to a local church, and continue holistic, client-led case management. Our goal as we disciple women is to give them the opportunity to experience the life-changing love and grace of Jesus, increase their emotional, physical, educational, spiritual, and financial stability, and gain the life and job skills training necessary to function and retain meaningful employment.
God does miraculous things through prayer, so we invite you to make it a habit to pray for the women we serve; that they would put their hope in Christ and be set free from the darkness that surrounds them.
For Churches
At Scarlet Hope, we believe the Church is the answer because Jesus is the answer. Our ministry is merely a bridge to mobilize the Church to go to exploited women wherever they are and connect them back to the Local Church to receive ongoing care and discipleship. Some churches feel at a loss on how to best respond to the crisis of exploitation and trafficking, so that’s why we developed an online course to equip churches to reach, serve, and share the hope and love of Jesus with women in the adult entertainment industry.

Meet Our City Director
Alexia Pelletier
When Alexia made the move from Bogotá, Colombia to Los Angeles in the summer of 2023, she knew the Lord had called her back to her hometown for a reason, but that reason wasn’t clear until she heard about Scarlet Hope. Since her first service trip to Skid Row, Los Angeles in high school, Alexia has had a burden on her heart for vulnerable populations, and while she served as a missionary teacher/counselor in South America, God put on her heart the call to reach women being exploited in the sex industry. It was no coincidence that the timing of her move and Scarlet Hope’s search for their next City Director in Los Angeles lined up perfectly. Alexia believes that the Lord has clearly brought her to serve with Scarlet Hope in such a time as this, and she is honored to be a part of the work of sharing the hope Jesus has given her with women in the adult entertainment industry. In her free time, Alexia loves to speak Spanish, go on runs, and explore new coffee shops.
