Club 3: Hannah, Kate, Amy, and EllenThursday night was a one of the most intense nights I have experienced in the club before. It is Derby weekend so there were many new dancers working who we have never met before and most who are only there to work for the weekend then will return back to their city. It was a fairly slower night in the club despite the 10 women working that evening. A new dancer, who’s name we didn’t get, informed me that she was extremely mad because a customer asked her if she would come home with him, in other words, He was trying to get her to prostitute herself out. She was very upset. Another girl said a customer tried to bite her while she was dancing. The things that go on inside the clubs still shock me the more I learn and see what goes on. Terrible awful things happen to these girls all the time. Just a few things that need to be completely covered by prayer for this past week…L- we have been able to spend a lot of time with this lady the past few weeks. She stays in the dressing room getting her hair, make-up, and nails done with us for over an hour every week. She is a recovering drug addict and has about 100 days sober right now. She has been doing drugs since she was 12 years old. She’s in her mid 20’s now. Please pray we continue to build a stronger relationship with her and that she would remain strong and resist the temptations that surround her to use drugsJ- is the young lady who is the owners daughter and who had an abortion not too long ago, is slowly warming up to us and expresses feelings of wanting to get together with us. She has our phone number so we are desperately praying for her to reach out and call us so we might be able to help her. J is always very high on drugs every time we see her. Her entire family is in the adult industry. Her mom owns this club and another club. Her brother helps run one of them and her aunt is also a dancer. I feel so strongly in my heart that God wants her to be the one to break the chain of this “family business” and turn from dancing for men to dancing and praising Jesus for his grace!M- praise report that M actually got hired at the dollar tree not too long ago and has already been promoted to Assistant manager! !!! PRAISE GOD !! She is so excited and loves her new job.A- It was a crazy night for A on this particular evening. A is a dancer we have been working with for a year now and this night at the club Satan was trying to destroy her as he does with all the dancers but on this night his presence was everywhere around her. She was very drunk, and I got to talk to her for a bit while she was waiting for her brother to come pick her up. She expressed great concern that her boyfriend was getting out of jail in 20 days and that she was very scared he was going to beat her again. He has a track record of abusing her in the past but when I talk to her about leaving him and possibly getting a restraining order against him, she becomes very scared and not willing to consider that because he tells her that he has changed and wont ever beat her again. He fits the classic pimp model because he offers her a little bit of love and affection which is what she so desperately needs, then he follows that love and devotion with threats that if she doesn’t work, he will hurt her when he gets out or, if she doesn’t come to visit him in the jail, he will kill her. It is a very sad situation because she will do anything for this man in order to keep that love. Later that evening A’s brother came to pick her up, the owner has told “A” before that her brother is banned from the club, he sells pills and has asked “A” on a couple occasions to sell them for him in the club. Since A was pretty drunk this night, she agreed to help her brother and she asked a bunch of other dancers if they wanted to by any drugs, the owner caught A trying to sell them,” A” got fired and the owner refused to pay her, she left the dressing room pretty shaken, Amy and I followed her out to the parking lot to check on her and instead of letting her brother drive her home, she jumped into her car and drove away. We have spoken to her a lot over the phone since the event and are trying our best to help show her the light. She has 4 children, the youngest being 4 months old. PLEASE pray for this women who God has placed in our lives. Pray for a break through and acknowledgement that her life is out of control. Pray for supernatural strength to leave this man who has her under his control. Leaving a violent relationship is the hardest, scariest thing for most abuse victims to do. Pray also for her boyfriend in jail that God will show up in his life too in some miraculous way!Forgiven & free,Hannah Dunn

“First I got to do a girl’s hair who I have seen every time I’ve been there. It was nice to see I was wearing her down. Then she convinced T to let me do her hair. T and I had great conversation. She told me about her boyfriend and her two kids and all the other jobs she has had. She has been a dancer on and off for eight or nine years. She is very sweet. Then I started on LU’s hair. Shortly after starting her hair, LA came in the dressing room. She had just been fired. She owed LU five dollars and LU wanted it before she left. LA kept telling LU to come to her and get her money. LA came over to LU and put a small bag of pills in her lap. It was pretty chaotic from that point. LU started talking about what had happened and how she doesn’t do pills. Another girl took the pills to the manager. Then when things calmed down a bit the manager came in the dressing room and said there is a no tolerance policy for drugs(selling or using). The girls in the dressing room started talking about the girl that got fired and it broke my heart. I never thought I could feel this much sorrow for some one else. I will continue to pray for LA. I know God will use this for good.” Â Â – Kate H.
