Christmas at Scarlet Hope looks like an open doorway. It’s the time of year where women we’ve not seen in a while long to reconnect. It’s also a time that we meet many new women who are struggling through the holidays or feeling lonely. Christmas has a way of reminding people of their need for peace and joy. Maybe they’re struggling to provide gifts for their children or to have enough food for a holiday meal. Each year we collect toys or gift cards to help empower moms to provide gifts for their children. We also partner with a church to hand out food baskets.
Christmas is also an open door because many clubs who do not let us come in weekly will welcome us during Christmas. We partner with many of our supporters who sponsor each club and prepare gifts for them. This year each lady will receive something warm, a bible or devotional, cookies or candy, and a bath and body product.
Christmas here is a celebration. We want to fellowship with and appreciate all of our volunteers. We want to celebrate with the ladies who’ve been attending our Bible study. Most of them have recently left the sex industry. For many of them, Scarlet Hope is like their family.
Christmas is such a special time at Scarlet Hope. If you’ve donated or volunteered during the holidays, we are so grateful! We’d love for you to continue to pray for everyone God brings our way this Christmas. Pray that everything we do points to The Greatest Gift of All!
