At Scarlet Hope God has asked us to come alongside women and be HIS hands and feet. That means laying down our own comfort and giving the way Christ would give—with wisdom, discernment and truth. The women we serve have basic needs as well as more complex needs, and while we cannot possibly solve every woman’s problem, we can point them to the one who CAN. Christ can satisfy their soul, change their lives, and give them a hope and future.
It became apparent to our team a long time ago that building a resource base and creating community partnerships was going to be critical in order to care for the women we are called to serve. This means creating building blocks that will each serve as a step in helping the women live a life that glorifies and honors Christ.
Scarlet Hope is focused on building partnerships that will join us in our vision to see women’s lives changed for Christ. We are looking for business owners who will give second chances to those who have criminal charges and other obstacles for finding a “normal” job. We are praying for people with connections to housing, food, and other basic needs, as well as mental health counselors, doctors, dentists, and any other professionals that God brings our way.
Just last night a friend of the ministry who is getting ready to start her residency as an OBGYN offered her future services once she begins to practice medicine. This is a great example of the body of Christ coming together as a community with different gifts, skills, professions, and trades. There is a place for all of us in the journey of ministry as we carry out His commands. God willing, we will never stop growing in this area.
