Several of our team members gathered a couple of weeks ago to wrap, write and pray over 250 presents that would be given away this past Thursday night. Â Because of so many of your donations we were able to give every single women in our 10 clubs a gift of love. Â Your gifts were so important in continuing our relationships with the clubs and the women we serve. Â It allowed for the gospel of Christ to be showed in such a special way. Â A gift, freely given. Â The symbolism of that free gift we gave them opened up door after door to share the ultimate free Gift we are given in Christ.
The night we delivered was a great night! Â Â An amazingly delicious home cooked meal with everything you can imagine was made for each of our 10 clubs. Â Some of the girls weren’t expecting to eat this night and it brought such excitement when they saw we had food!
Each year, Christmas is such a unique opportunity in the clubs because we also bring gifts. Â Each year we try to be very intentional with our gifts. Â This year journals with hand written letters to each dancer, bath & body works lotions/gels/sprays, and a beautiful set of earrings on a card that read “Though your sins are like scarlet, they will be washed white as snow” Isaiah 1:18.
Many women on this particular night got to see, hear, and feel the spirit of God working all around us.
Several dancers we encountered Thursday night would not be spending time with anyone this Christmas and would not be receiving any gifts from any family.
We have become their family. Â Several of them asked to come to church with us for Christmas. We’re excited to build these relationships with new faces, that might never of asked had they not received the special gift.
It doesn’t take much time to find out which dancers are longing for a relationship with our Father. It doesn’t take long to see the hurt that is in their lives.  And it surely doesn’t take long to show them the true and only gift that matters this season, Jesus.
The journals were all donated to our ministry and many of our team members wrote loving, encouraging, reflective letters to every single dancer that we would come in contact with that night. Â Â The letters shared of God’s love for them and how valuable they were in His eyes. Â Each journal read something different and we prayed over the words that were written, so that each dancer receiving this would know that it was a love letter from God. Â Many of the ladies opened up the journals and read them write in front of us. Â Some with tears in their eyes, some with smiles so big they hugged us for what seemed like forever!! Â Each reaction was a special gift from God.
We will never know fully the depth of the seeds that were planted.  But we know God was moving and working in the lives of these women.  Thank you to those of you who took the time to donate items for this Christmas.   Thank you to those of you who prayed over our team and the women we serve for this Christmas time to be filled with God’s presence!   Thank you brothers and sisters in Christ, we are one body, serving One God all in the name of Jesus!
Merry Christmas,
The Scarlet Hope Team
