A Scarlet Hope Thanksgiving

(all names have been changed for confidentiality purposes)

Fresh hot turkey, corn pudding, mac-n-cheese, green beans, carrot souffle, mashed potatoes & gravy, corn, pecan and pumpkin pies filled each and every dancers, managers, bouncers belly last Thursday night.   A meal fit for a King, was undoubtedly a meal cooked for Jesus.

The dancers were so excited to receive a Thanksgiving meal they ate and ate.   So many questions about life, faith, and why in the world we would do this filled this night with wonderful memories.

But the most powerful and amazing testimony of the night was a Thanksgiving Blessing indeed.

Susan, a mother of one, left the sex industry this Thanksgiving Night because of Jesus Christ!

Susan living in a hotel room with her 10 year old daughter took a leap of faith and left the clubs this special night!   She has a temporary job and is applying for a permanent position.   This week the Lord has provided enough money through a small group at a church to pay for another week in her hotel, along with that the Lord provided groceries for her and her daughter.

We are still learning the full story behind her circumstances, but God is working diligently in the life of Susan.   It amazes us how much the Lord provides for our every need, walking through trials and difficulties with people.   He ultimately has the final say about everything and we see his hand everywhere at work.

Susan has a church background growing up and she even enjoyed going to church with one of our team members last Sunday!   We truly want Susan to see who she was created to be in Christ!    Isn't that what we all want?   A longing to know we are loved, valued and we were made ON PURPOSE.

Will you commit to praying for Susan and her daughter.   Will you commit to helping Scarlet Hope meet some of the needs Susan has?   She needs your prayers.   Changes in life are scary, uncertainty about her finances are scary, there are attacks from the enemy that will weigh her down; but we know through lifting her up in prayer and coming around her and joining in her struggles, God will be glorified in her life!
