Tonight was an amazing and refreshing night in Club 4.   Welcomed by the sound of “the church ladies are here” was all but a familiar phrase.  You see we have never once mentioned we’re from a church or we are an organization that consists to do charity work.  We have simply gone in to show them we love them and told, if the spirit leads that we love the Lord and he loves them.I think when God’s light is present and shining, his body, his church is so bright for all to see and know, HE is there! The DJ, T…said that he is Catholic.  He told us his mom picks him up to go to church every Easter, Christmas and other holiday.  The girls laughed at him and told him yeah you only go to church then huh….he said well I give my money to give back to people.  He said I wonder what they think when they see all the one’s in the offering plate?   I thought in my mind, what would God think of all his one’s in the plate?  Would God condemn him because of where that money came from?  Would God convict him because of how he earned that living?  What would God do?    If we take a look at a passage of scripture in Mark about the Widows Coin I think we find our answer….41Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins,[j]worth only a fraction of a penny.[k]43Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”We were able to share the basis of this with T, by sharing with him that God cares about his heart.  Not how much or where the money came from, but his heart and motive for giving back to God.One dancer said “if I walk into a church the whole thing will come falling down”   How sad it is to use this as an excuse and really truly believing this.  God loves them so much more than that. After our team did several dancers hair we sat around and talked with each of the girls for a long while.   They were so happy to have us there.   One of the girls said you all aren’t leaving are you?  I said jokingly, no should we?  ” She said no we don’t want you to leave.”   It is always a long road to building trust.  Especially when these women have never known what trust is.  How much better that day will be when she can trust in the Lord with all her heart and know what that looks like.  What a glorious day that will be.JE was new back on the scene.  She had a baby 3 months ago and left the clubs to have and take care of him.  JE is married with 2 other children and her husband has a fairly nice job.  I asked her why she was there and she stated she has debt that she needs to pay off.  She wants to pay it off and then be able to pay it off and be a stay at home mom.  She’s been married for 11 years and told me people ask her how she can still be in love, but she replies, because he’s a great guy and I am lucky to be in love still.   She’s a beautiful girl and really receptive to our help.

Tonight was an amazing and refreshing night in Club 4. Â Â Welcomed by the sound of “the church ladies are here” was all but a familiar phrase. Â You see we have never once mentioned we’re from a church or we are an organization that consists to do charity work. Â We have simply gone in to show them we love them and told, if the spirit leads that we love the Lord and he loves them.
I think when God’s light is present and shining, his body, his church is so bright for all to see and know, HE is there!
The DJ, T…said that he is Catholic. Â He told us his mom picks him up to go to church every Easter, Christmas and other holiday. Â The girls laughed at him and told him yeah you only go to church then huh….he said well I give my money to give back to people. Â He said I wonder what they think when they see all the one’s in the offering plate? Â Â I thought in my mind, what would God think of all his one’s in the plate? Â Would God condemn him because of where that money came from? Â Would God convict him because of how he earned that living? Â What would God do? Â Â Â If we take a look at a passage of scripture in Mark about the Widows Coin I think we find our answer….
Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny.
Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”
We were able to share the basis of this with T, by sharing with him that God cares about his heart. Â Not how much or where the money came from, but his heart and motive for giving back to God.
One dancer said “if I walk into a church the whole thing will come falling down” Â Â How sad it is to use this as an excuse and really truly believing this. Â God loves them so much more than that.
After our team did several dancers hair we sat around and talked with each of the girls for a long while. Â Â They were so happy to have us there. Â Â One of the girls said you all aren’t leaving are you? Â I said jokingly, no should we? Â ” She said no we don’t want you to leave.” Â Â It is always a long road to building trust. Â Especially when these women have never known what trust is. Â How much better that day will be when she can trust in the Lord with all her heart and know what that looks like. Â What a glorious day that will be.
JE was new back on the scene. Â She had a baby 3 months ago and left the clubs to have and take care of him. Â JE is married with 2 other children and her husband has a fairly nice job. Â I asked her why she was there and she stated she has debt that she needs to pay off. Â She wants to pay it off and then be able to pay it off and be a stay at home mom. Â She’s been married for 11 years and told me people ask her how she can still be in love, but she replies, because he’s a great guy and I am lucky to be in love still. Â Â She’s a beautiful girl and really receptive to our help.
