Club 3: Hannah, Amy, Ellen, and JessicaBut God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for uswhile we were still sinners.~ Romans 5:8, NLTThis verse hit home when I was thinking about an encounter that happened this week. We have shared many times over the past year about a dancer named “A” who we actually met at club 1 about a year ago.”A”is the one who only started dancing because she was pregnant with her 4th baby and needed money to support him. A is also the lady we threw the baby shower at Northside for back in the fall. A few of us were there when she delivered her baby and provided all kinds of things for her during this tough time. Needless to say we were very involved in her life.” A” had stopped dancing for about 5 months and just recently returned to dancing again. This industry is so addicting and will trap anyone even if they only do it for a short period of time. A has a very controlling boyfriend who is forcing her to go back & dance. I understand that no one can actually “force” some one to dance, but we have to realize that these money-hungry men are providing a detrimental basic need to these women that they long for in order to get through life. Men/pimps give them love and protection. The men tell them that they must dance, they will do anything that man says to do in order to not lose the love that they are receiving. It is so very sad to see how trapped these women become. Long story short we heard A was back dancing again but we figured she went back to the same old club 1. None of us had seen her yet. Well Thursday night I literally ran right into A while walking through the club! She is dancing at the new club that God has just allowed us in! She hugged me for a few moments and said that she was really embarrassed and asked if I was upset with her and if it would still be ok if she called me. It absolutely broke my heart to see and hear her. I assured her I was always there for her no matter what she is doing and that we love her and want her to have a happy life. I told her that “God isn’t letting her go that easily” and that “We were fallowing her”. We still need to be covering “A” in prayer and asking God for His will to be done in her life.Thursday night at club 3 was amazing! We brought the owner “P” a small gift card for Pie Kitchen to show our appreciation for her allowing us in her club. She had a hard time accepting it but then finally gave in and took it. I didn’t stay around to watch her open it but later that evening when we left, you could tell that she was happy and loved that we come into her club. There were only two girls that we got an opportunity to really talk to. It wasn’t very busy back in the dressing room so we got good one on one time with them. Amy had an awesome conversations with a dancer named “B”. Â We all got to chat with “T” and “G” for a while. All the ladies at this club are so sweet and they tell us every week how much they appreciate us coming in and pampering them! They are becoming very protective of us now at this club too! Its the small things that happen along the way that we praise God for. We are building great relationships and continuing to praise God for all He’s doing and all that is to come. When we were all finished and leaving, we received kisses on the checks from the dancers and a big cheerful thank you and wave good-bye from the owner P. The last big sign that we are now becoming fully accepted in this club..the bouncer escorted u out to the parking lot ensuring our safety! That is a sign to us that they like us and are starting to protect us. God is so good and faithful always!Lastly please pray for “J” The owners daughter. She has been through a lot the past few months. She is always there every Thursday night and she wasn’t this week. We don’t know what’s going on with her but please pray for her life and that she would be the women in this dysfunctional family to finally break the chain in the pattern of the strip club life style.Love,Hannah
