Club 4 – Journal Entry #79 – April 1st 2010

Team:  Rachelle, Carrie, Lindsey, Julie

Walked right in and up to the dressing room.   The welcoming feeling over the women and men in this club is something I never would of dreamed.    It often shows us how our job here on this earth is NEVER to judge one another.   We are to love the Lord with all our heart, and love his people.    There’s a certain feeling of love we feel from the men and women in this industry as we go non -judgmentally into their working environments.   It’s a certainty  that God is ALWAYS walking before us and makes the way.

When we walked two of the ladies that were on stage yelled, You’re Back!!!   So excited we were there!!   On Thursday nights their are only about 10-12 girls total.   So it’s fairly laid back.  Carrie jumped right in doing some hair for some of the girls still getting ready the rest of us passed out roses and kids bags to any of the dancers that came into the dressing room.

The girls loved the roses and treats for their kids.   Several of the girls had 3 and 4 kids each.  All single moms.   One particular girl SD was wanting to go outside so bad and hated being stuck inside all the time.  She wore a long thick chain around her neck and acted like she was a dog for the night.   She let dancers pull her around on the ground by the chain.   At one point one of the dancers told her to kiss our feet.   We were of course like “absolutely not”!

The owner TR talked with us for quite some time as well.   He’s a really nice guy and doesn’t seem like the type to be owning this business.   But I am interested to hear his story and find out what led him down this path.

We all had great conversations with the girls and since the club wasn’t very busy at all they got to stay in the dressing room a lot longer to hang out and talk.    The loved the homemade chocolate chip cookies and enjoyed our time together.

On our way out one of the girls that’s new there TX told us that she really wants to go to hair school, but every time she has applied she has been denied.  She’s a single mom with 3 children.   Carrie happens to work at a salon in Louisville and is going to connect with her to find out more of how she can apply to hair school!    TX gave Carrier her number and they are going to talk this week!   Praise the Lord!

We are so thankful of our new beginning in this club.   The Lord is working and the girls are so thankful and starting to trust us more and more.    It’s a beautiful thing to watch the Lord work on these beautiful daughters!     Praise His Name~

Loving Him Always,

Rachelle
