Our Founder, Rachelle Starr, was born in Denver, CO, so the city has always held a special place in her heart. After visiting the city in 2018, she knew that God was calling Scarlet Hope to Denver; the question was when? In 2021, several people contacted us about Denver out of the blue, and it was clear to us that God has been preparing hearts and calling people to our mission. The time had come. So in January 2022, we held our first volunteer orientation in Denver and began our launch! God quickly answered our prayers and provided a City Coordinator, Cassidy Reese, to coordinate and lead all ministry efforts locally. We are so excited to join the community of believers in Denver to bring the hope and love of Jesus to women in the adult entertainment industry!

Outreach
Strip Club Outreach
Every Thursday night, we bring gifts & treats into local strip clubs to build relationships and share the gospel with the people we encounter. It takes a village to carry out this weekly Outreach! Our Outreach Team goes into the clubs, our Prayer Team stays behind to pray during Outreach, and we have a team of volunteers who provide the gifts/treats we take into the clubs. If God is calling you, we would love to talk to you more about how you could serve.
Volunteer Opportunities
The first step to becoming a volunteer is to attend an upcoming Volunteer Orientation. At Orientation, we’ll provide an overview of our ministry and ways to serve, and from there, you can apply to become a volunteer. Below are all of the opportunities to serve within Outreach:
Community
First, we GO to women wherever they are. Then we invite them IN to experience gospel-centered community. In this community, not only do we teach the love of Christ, but we show the love of Christ through authentic, no-strings-attached relationships. We help meet their basic physical needs by offering tangible resources that meet the physical needs that they have. More importantly, we meet spiritual needs by pointing them to Jesus, praying with and for them, teaching them how to read the Bible, and showing them what love and friendship in Christ look like.

Discipleship
The third pillar of our model is Discipleship, and this will look different for every woman we serve. Some women may come to know Christ the first time we meet them, and others may take years to trust us and be open to the gospel. As women from the adult entertainment industry come to salvation in Christ, we invite them to participate in weekly bible studies, connect them to a local church, and continue holistic, client-led case management. Our goal as we disciple women is to give them the opportunity to experience the life-changing love and grace of Jesus, increase their emotional, physical, educational, spiritual, and financial stability, and gain the life and job skills training necessary to function and retain meaningful employment.
God does miraculous things through prayer, so we invite you to make it a habit to pray for the women we serve; so that they would put their hope in Christ and be set free from the darkness that surrounds them.
For Churches
At Scarlet Hope, we believe the Church is the answer because Jesus is the answer. Our ministry is merely a bridge to mobilize the Church to go to exploited women wherever they are and connect them back to the Local Church to receive ongoing care and discipleship. Some churches feel at a loss on how to best respond to the crisis of exploitation and trafficking, so that’s why we developed an online course to equip churches to reach, serve, and share the hope and love of Jesus with women in the adult entertainment industry.

Meet Our City Coordinator
Cassidy Reese
Cassidy first heard about Scarlet Hope years ago through her mom, who served on the cooking team in Louisville, KY. There was an instant interest and tug toward this ministry. When she moved to Nashville, she learned that Scarlet Hope was beginning to do work there. She began serving on the outreach team in 2019 and continued to grow more and more passionate about the women in this industry coming to know Jesus. Fast forward to the summer of 2021, Cassidy moved to Denver, CO, and immediately wondered about what it would look like to have Scarlet Hope in Denver. As God would have it, Scarlet Hope was already planning to launch in Denver, and they needed a City Coordinator. Cassidy accepted the role of City Coordinator in January 2022. She is expectant for what the Lord plans to do through this ministry and desires ultimately that the women in the adult entertainment industry would come to know the hope and love of Jesus, their Savior. Cassidy is married to her husband, Steven, and has a sweet baby boy. When they have free time, they love to explore new restaurants, hang out with their friends, and travel.
