As used below, "SCARLET HOPE" shall mean SCARLET HOPE, an Indiana 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, and its officers, directors, employees, assigns, and agents (including any third party designated and approved by SCARLET HOPE at any time, including, without limitation, individuals or entities involved in print, publication, television, broadcast, or video media. As used below, "participant" shall mean any volunteer or other individual involved in a SCARLET HOPE event. In consideration of the acceptance of my participation in any SCARLET HOPE outreach, meeting or event (collectively, the "Event"), I agree to the following:

I hereby grant to SCARLET HOPE the right to photograph and/or videotape me during my participation in an Event. I further grant to SCARLET HOPE, forever and throughout the world, the right to use these photographs and videotapes of my likeness, voice, and sounds during my participation, and my name, likeness, and biography, as SCARLET HOPE may desire, in all media and in all forms and for all lawful purposes, without further compensation to me or any limitation whatsoever. In granting this license, I understand that SCARLET HOPE is not under any obligation to exercise any of its rights, licenses or privileges herein granted. Each such photograph and videotape shall be a work for hire and SCARLET HOPE shall be deemed the owner of any copyright and/or trademark rights therein (and all application, registrations, and renewals resulting therefrom). If, however, the work is deemed not to be a work made for hire by a court of competent jurisdiction, then this Consent and Release to Produce Physical Likeness ("Release") shall constitute an irrevocable assignment by the Participant of the worldwide copyright in the work to SCARLET HOPE.

I undersigned being fully cognizant of the risks in participating in an Event, hereby assumes the risks of bodily injury (including, without limitation, death) and property damage, inherent in such participation. Except to the extent due to the gross negligence or willful misconduct of SCARLET HOPE, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws, I hereby waive any claims or causes of action which I may now or hereafter have against SCARLET HOPE arising out of my participation, and I will indemnify and hold harmless SCARLET HOPE against any and all claims resulting from such participation.

I hereby release SCARLET HOPE and its respective successors, affiliates, licensees and assigns from all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including, without limitation, attorneys' and other professional fees and expenses) that I may now or hereafter have against SCARLET HOPE arising in connection with my participation in the Event and SCARLET HOPE'S exercise of rights hereby granted, including, without limitation, claims for compensation, defamation, or invasion of privacy, or other infringements or violations of personal or property rights of any sort whatsoever.
In the event I should sustain injuries or illness while involved in an Event, I hereby authorize SCARLET HOPE to administer, or cause to be administered, such first aid or other treatment and medications I may bring as may be necessary under the circumstances, to include treatment by a physician or hospital of SCARLET HOPE's choice.

This Release shall be binding upon my heirs, personal representatives and assigns, and shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Indiana. This Release constitutes the entire agreement among the parties hereto with respect to the subject matter of this Release and supersedes any and all previous agreements among the parties, whether written or oral, with respect to the subject matter.

Confidentiality is central to the work that we do. As members of the outreach, prayer, and care team, we have access to highly sensitive personal information regarding the women we are reaching out to. In order to maintain an attitude of protectiveness, everyone on the team is bound by confidentiality.

I understand that serving with Scarlet Hope will bring me into direct contact with information that is confidential in nature. I agree not to share any of this information with anyone outside of Scarlet Hope.

In addition, I understand that for the benefit of the people I am helping I will from time to time need to share information with my director and in some cases a Scarlet Hope Board member in order to receive input and direction valuable to the recovery of the people I am ministering to.

Violation of this policy would betray the trust of the very people I am here to minister to and may result in my being asked to step down from serving with Scarlet Hope.

We believe the Bible is the Inspired Word of God.
The Old and New Testaments, in their entirety, constitute the written Word of God and are without error in the original manuscripts. They were written by men, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and are therefore fully authoritative in all matters for the follower of Christ. (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21; Prov. 30:5; John 17:17; Rom. 15:4)

We believe that God exists eternally in Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
There is one God, infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in His being, wisdom, power, holiness, love, justice, goodness, and truth, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who desires that we should know Him intimately and live a life of fulfillment through the pursuit of His glory. (John 1:1-2; Matt. 28:19; 1 Cor. 12:4-6; Jude 20-21)

We believe that Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, died on a cross, was buried, and rose from the grave to redeem sinful humanity.
Jesus is the one True God, begotten not made. He became human, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and made His dwelling among us, living a full life without sin. His perfect life and death on the cross provide the only atonement that satisfies the righteous requirements of God for the sinner. The death of Jesus Christ fully and finally paid for sin, and was redemptive, substitutionary, and efficacious. The historic fact of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead testifies powerfully to His deity and is itself humanity's ultimate hope. Jesus Christ will make a personal and imminent return to the earth; this return is a sanctifying "hope" having a vital bearing on the life of every Christian. (Matt. 1:18; 2 Cor. 5:21; Heb. 4:15; Mark 15:24; Mark 16:1-8; Heb. 9:26; Col. 1:13; Rom. 3:23)

We believe that the Holy Spirit transforms hearts and minds to live according to the name of Jesus. We believe that as Christ-followers we are to be baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit bears persuasive testimony to the realities of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is the personal, divine third member of the Godhead. He convicts the world of sin and its consequences; He brings repentance and faith to the believer; He indwells the believer with the radical life of Jesus Christ; He gives gifts to every believer for mutual service within the body of Christ; He unites each believer in the Body of Christ and seals them in that relationship; He bears the fruit of Christian character in the lives of every believer; He guides, instructs, and empowers the believer for godly living and service. He is worshipped with the Father and the Son. (2 Cor. 3:18; Eph. 1:13; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:38; Acts 2:41; Matt. 28:19)

We believe all humans are sinful and in need of salvation. Salvation is the gift of God brought to humans by grace alone and received by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
God has created every person in the image of God, but we have fallen into sin, and are therefore lost; only through the regeneration by the Holy Spirit can we obtain salvation and spiritual life. All humans are sinners and face the judgment of God. The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and only those who place faith in Jesus Christ and initiate a relationship with God on the basis of the work of Christ are delivered from the wrath of God toward sin required by His holy character. Those who receive Jesus Christ by faith are said by Holy Scripture to be justified, regenerated, redeemed, and adopted in the divine family as co-heirs with Christ of all the blessings of the Godhead. We proclaim that all persons must consciously repent of their sins and confess that Jesus Christ is their Savior and Lord. (Rom. 3:23; Rom. 3:12; Acts 4:12; 1 Thess. 5:9; Titus 2:11; Eph. 2:8; Rom. 3:25; Rom. 5:1)

We believe that God has created all humans in His image. He has created them uniquely male and female.
All humans are created in God's image; therefore, all human life is sacred. In creating humans as male and female, God communicated His image in harmonious interpersonal relationships, equality of personhood, and an important distinction in role and authority. (Gen. 1:27; Eph. 5:21-33; Col. 3:18-19; Titus 1:6; 1 Tim. 2:11-15; 1 Tim. 3:2; 1 Cor. 14:33-35)

We believe that the church is a spiritual body made up of all believers everywhere for all time.
All Christians in all times and in all places have been united into a single body by God's design. This resultant union is called the Body of Christ. (Eph. 1:22-23; Eph. 5:25; John 10:16; Eph. 4:11-13; 1 Cor. 12:12-30)

We believe in the Local Church.
Christ commanded that all Christians band together in assembly for instruction, worship, service, and fellowship. These assemblies are called local churches. Scarlet Hope is not a local church. We are Christ-followers that are serving together and sharing the Gospel with our community. Everyone that serves at Scarlet Hope must be a member of a local church. The people that we meet through Scarlet Hope are directed to one of several local churches that we have a good relationship with and are encouraged to become active members. (Eph. 5:16-19; Col. 1:28; Acts 2:42-27)

We believe that Jesus will return to earth to judge all people and to rule and reign with His saints forever.
All people will be resurrected to give an account of their lives before God. The believer in Christ will be resurrected to everlasting blessedness and joy in the presence of God. The unbeliever will be resurrected to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment. (Titus 2:12-13; Phil. 3:20; Matt. 24:44; Matt. 25:21; 2 Thess. 4:15-18; Acts 17:30-31; Rom. 2:5-7; Rom. 14:10-12; 2 Cor. 5:10)

We have the opportunity to work together in reaching people, changing lives, and building God's purpose in our world. Simply put, there is no greater cause!

We consider serving in ministry both an incredible privilege and a serious calling. We have developed ten simple guidelines that will help us maintain a standard of excellence in order to protect you, our leaders, and those looking to us for leadership and a Christian example.

Please read the following Standards of Ministry and check the box to indicate your agreement and commitment to follow them.

1. I am a committed Christian, filled with the Holy Spirit and living in agreement with the Word of God.

2. I am a member of my local church and I will regularly attend worship services for my spiritual edification.

3. I will conduct my personal relationships in an appropriate manner, that is, I will:
- Keep godly boundaries of intimacy.
- Not live with a member of the opposite sex or with someone whose sexual lifestyle does not reflect biblical moral standards.
- Not pursue an intimate relationship with an unbeliever.
- Not engage in any type of relationship with a married person of the opposite sex.

4. I will conduct myself sexually in a way that honors God.
- As a single person, I will not be sexually intimate with someone.
- As a married person, I will remain sexually and emotionally faithful to my spouse.
- I will honor God's standard of monogamous, heterosexual marriage.
- I will not engage in the use of pornography.

5. I will not participate in any illegal or abusive drug or alcohol use.

6. I will endeavor to maintain emotional health and maturity by dealing with anger, hurt, depression, or insecurities. I will accept the advice or counsel of leadership in working on these areas.

7. I will determine to let scripture establish the values that govern the words I use and the conversations I engage in. I will not participate in gossip, lying, or lewd conversation.

8. I will be a faithful tither, cheerfully giving.

9. I will respect the laws of our country and not be in violation of the laws of the United States.

10. I will not knowingly be involved with or have any association with productions, events, or employment that would promote, endorse or condone unscriptural, immoral, or inappropriate actions and values. If I have any uncertainty, I will discuss it with our leaders for guidance in that decision.

I understand the moral and spiritual standards established by SCARLET HOPE for those serving in ministry. I promise to honor these simple guidelines so that my actions and words will honor God and not bring any dishonor to the ministry. I will live a spiritually mature lifestyle and be honest in disclosing any struggles or questions I may have about these issues.

I realize that serving in ministry is not a "right" but a privilege. My violation of any of these Standards of Ministry will jeopardize my involvement within SCARLET HOPE. I willingly yield to the direction, counsel, and decisions of the SCARLET HOPE leadership team.

Consistency is the key to building trust and relationships with these women, so volunteering regularly is critical. As a team, we also rely on each other each week for the “manpower” to serve the clubs. If we are short on outreach volunteers, it affects the whole team. We understand that sickness, emergencies, and unexpected life events may arise, but please notify the director as soon as possible if you are unable to serve.
