Oftentimes when we Western-cultured Christians are faced with messy, relational ministry, we reduce it all to psychological and sociological issues that perhaps money and a lot of therapy will fix. Though many times we must meet physical needs before spiritual needs and counseling definitely has its place in ministry, the reality is that only the Gospel of Jesus Christ has the power to save, transform, and bring new life.
Only the Gospel can deliver us from the kingdom of darkness and bring us into Light. Only the power of God can raise us from the dead and seat us with Christ in the heavenly places. And only the Holy Spirit can prepare our hearts and minds to hear and receive the Word of God.
So as God sends us into the world, baring this message, we fast and we pray! We pray that we may live a life daily filled with the Holy Spirit of God, growing in spiritual discernment, standing firm, and being wise against the schemes of the Enemy. To this end we pray for the Kingdom of Christ to be made real before our very eyes, through our very lives. We prayerfully and dependently labor on until we join the saints in glory.
Let us pray on and preach on and watch the Spirit of God raise the dead to life!
