Club 2 Report
May 6th 2010
The Holy Spirit was movin’ in Club 2 Thursday night. I praise God for all the supportive prayers for this Club. The girls were talkative and hungry on Thursday. The team had several opportunities for conversation. When we walked in they were all happy to see us especially D, the first thing she asked was if we brought her book. Rachelle had given us a book to give D called “Scars and Stilettosâ€, it tells the story of the transformation of an exotic dancer, Harmony Dust. She was really excited that we brought the book.  A few of us got the chance to talk for awhile with D, she told us that her parents were possibly attending the Golf Scramble and Julie encouraged her to come as well. She is full of personality and is very open. She shared with us about her ex, her kids, and how she has struggled over the years with money to support her kids. She told us that she hated working at the club and even though she acted like she was happy deep down it was killing her. Our convo ended as she got distracted but I am excited to continue to get to know her and pray the book is an inspiration and changes her life. Rachelle also gave us an extra book in case D asked for one for her friend but she didn’t so when we were leaving Julie handed it to one of the other dancers. It must have been the Spirit telling her to give it to her, I pray she reads that story and is encouraged by Harmony’s story. One of my favorite parts of the evening was that J the dj/ bartender was able to connect with one of our security guys. Since back in early March, I have been praying that J would connect with one of the guys and be encouraged in his walk. J continues to show an interest in attending the Post but has not been able to attend so he expressed an interest to talk to one of our security guys. Rachel talked for a little while with J and she encouraged J to meet with Josh outside the club. They were able to spend some time outside talking …. I praise God for this opportunity for J and can’t wait to see what he has planned for J.–Jessica L.The woman that I was concerned for most was an older lady selling Avon, she has to be 80 years old. I wondered if she stayed waiting for us, for food. And concerned about her eating and her having enough money especially since she was in a club late at nightThe other girl I talked to forever was named N, good friends with K.  N is working on her GED and wants to be a nurse. She doesn’t have any kids but is engaged to her long time boyfriend. She asked me about church , about if it is ok to have a drink or smoke weed. She said that she felt pressured by her mom to go to  church and not smoke weed and drink. We then got on subject of food and being healthy , I told her about the detox and so now we are friends on facebook, and she wants to do detox with us.–Julie W.Last night was club 2. I was excited to go. I had already been to this club once and was eager to return. I hadn’t met anyone yet except J the DJ (who had been coming to the Post) so I was prayerful that I could talk with some of the girls! First of all my group that went to the club was amazing! We all love each other and our attitudes were amazing :)I met a girl named A and she was so excited to see us! She immediately opened up and started talking to me! (I had prayed specifically for this!!) We talked for a good while and she shared with me how much she wanted to go to the Post but was afraid they’d make her climb the rock wall! I laughed and was like “girl I dont climb that thing!” We had a great time of discussion and she asked for my number. She said she wanted to come to church and asked if I could pick her and her daughter up!! Absolutely I told her! So she talked to me one other time in the night and kept saying she was excited to talk more with me and come to church!! Praise God for such a beautiful young girl who is searching for HIM. I am so blessed to be in this ministry and to be a Light for Jesus!– Rachel EI met H, who normally works days but happened to be working tonight.  She moved here from Boston about a year ago.  She is recently divorced, her ex-husband is in jail for child molestation and she has lost custody of her two year old daughter, because of his offense.  Her mother in law has her daughter and she gets her once a week but her car has broken down and she hasn’t been able to drive the distance to pick up her daughter. She’s fighting an appeal for her daughter and has no family here in Ky. I gave her my number and she gave me hers and I told her I’d check into helping her with a car, she can afford no more than $1000.  I also told her I’d take her to pick up her daughter and she seemed she might take me up on the offer. Prayers for help finding a car or repairing the one she has and prayers to help repair this broken family.-Thanks and God Bless, Jamie C.
