At Scarlet Hope, we believe that God is sovereign over every detail—every life, every moment, and every story.

This truth shapes everything we do. It’s what gives us courage to step into hard places and faith to keep going when the work feels heavy. We know our good Father is in control—both in the big picture of our mission and in the quiet, unseen moments when it seems like nothing is changing.

But here’s what we’ve learned over 18 years: the same God who rules over galaxies is also present in the smallest details. He is in every text message sent during Digital Outreach. He is in every meal handed to a woman at her workplace. He is in every whispered prayer for someone we may never meet face to face.

Recently, we were reminded again of His precision and compassion during a Digital Outreach interaction—one that showed us God’s timing is perfect and His love is relentless.

Digital Outreach: Meeting Women Where They Are

Digital Outreach is one of the most powerful ways Scarlet Hope reaches women in the adult entertainment industry—meeting them right where they are: online.

Through secure platforms, we send personalized, compassionate messages to women being advertised in the online sex industry. During our outreach times, trained volunteers are ready to chat, offer prayer, share resources, and simply listen.

For many women, it’s the first time someone has told them they are loved, seen, and not alone. It’s a bridge from isolation to hope. It’s a moment where the gospel begins to break through years of pain and lies.

“Thank you, but I’m done here.”

One Thursday night, our team sent out texts as part of a routine Digital Outreach session. Volunteers waited on the other end—ready to engage with any woman who responded.

One message said:
“Hi, how’s your day going? I know this text might seem random, but I’m with a women’s organization and we would love to pray for you.”

That night, Gabby received the text. But in her mind, it was already too late.

She had given up on life.
She was texting her goodbyes to her boyfriend, her friends, and her family—letting them know her final words and thoughts.

Her reply to us was short and devastating:
“Thank you, but I’m done here.”

The volunteer on the other end immediately escalated the conversation to their director, someone trained to handle crisis responses involving suicidal thoughts. The director gently stepped into the conversation, following every step carefully and alerting the right people so Gabby could get the help she needed.

But as a team, we wrestled with questions:
Would it be enough?
Would Gabby change her mind?
Was the message God had led us to send compelling enough to save her life?

For several hours, and into the next day, there was silence. Gabby stopped responding.

Before the conversation ended, one final message was sent:
“I want you to know—even though it may not feel like it—you are loved. You are valuable. This wasn’t random. God is trying to get your attention, reminding you that He loves you and has not left you.”

When All You Can Do Is Pray

After that, all we could do was pray.

We prayed she saw the message.
We prayed God would break through the darkness surrounding her.
We prayed for her safety, her heart, her life.

Our team went home heavy that night. Volunteers asked their spouses and friends to join in prayer. Gabby’s name became the center of every whispered plea to heaven.

We didn’t know if we’d ever hear from her again.

Faith in the Waiting

As we waited in the dark, we clung to what we know is true: God is sovereign.
He sees what we can’t see.
He works when we can’t work.
He holds every life—including Gabby’s—in His hands.

But believing that isn’t always easy.
When we can’t see the outcome, it’s tempting to wonder if our obedience matters.

The enemy loves to whisper lies in moments like this:
“What difference can one text make?”
“Why keep trying? The need is too big.”
“You’re not enough for this.”

But at Scarlet Hope, we’ve learned something deeper: Success isn’t measured by outcomes—it’s measured by faithfulness. God doesn’t call us to fix, save, or rescue. He calls us to show up, to love, to plant seeds, and to trust Him with the harvest.

God Is Greater

The next day, our director’s phone buzzed with a notification from Gabby’s number.

The message read:
“I’m still struggling… but I think you might be right. I think that was God.”

Tears filled our eyes. Joy filled our hearts.

Gabby was alive.
She recognized God had reached out to her.
Her story wasn’t over.

Strength for the Journey

Gabby’s journey isn’t finished. It’s still hard. There are questions, struggles, and steps ahead. But she’s not walking alone anymore.

This is the work God has called us to at Scarlet Hope—walking alongside women like Gabby and pointing them to the One who brings lasting hope and healing.

Following Jesus into these spaces isn’t easy. But He is with us. And that changes everything.

Let This Move You

At Scarlet Hope, we believe outreach is the foundation of change—not because of what we do, but because of what God does through it.

He changes hearts.
He rescues lives.
He rewrites stories.

We don’t know all the outcomes, but we know the One who holds them.

Will you join us?
Pray for women like Gabby.
Serve with us through local or digital outreach.
Give to sustain and grow this mission.

Together, we can bring the hope and love of Jesus to women who feel unseen, unloved, and forgotten.

Because God hasn’t forgotten them.
