A celebration of the God of Light – This is what the Scarlet Hope Gala felt like this year. From the opening remarks to the heart-wrenching testimonies and keynote speeches–all of it was a celebration of the Light. 1 John 1 says that God is Light and in Him there is no darkness at all. Every woman who is saved from the adult entertainment industry is saved from the darkness into the Light and when they give their life to Jesus they become part of that saving Light.
Dr. Mohler in his keynote speech gave us a sobering reminder that there is still much darkness in our city and in the world, which is why Rachelle and the staff of Scarlet Hope have made it their mission to reach every single woman who is still trapped in the darkness.
The night would not have been a success without the tireless efforts of our volunteers. If you attended the Gala most of the people you saw working were volunteers. They helped out with the setup, with silent auction, and with checkout and teardown. Thank you to all who gave of their time, talent and treasures to make the evening a success!!
Jesus says in Matthew 5:14 “we are the light of the world” – thank you to all who are joining us to spread that light to women in the adult entertainment industry!!!
