I remember the smell and the darkness the most. I used to be a dancer, and when I walked into that club the first time, I had no idea what I was getting into. I had no clue that the things I would be exposed to and experience would change my prospective of men, myself and ultimately, corrupt what innocence I had left and change me forever.

At the time, I believed in God, and I believed He was with me. I believe without Him in my life, I would have been dead long before I even walked into that club.

Many of the ladies I meet at Club Zero don’t know Jesus, and they have never truly experienced His love. While apart from God our lives are darkness, He longs to bring us into His glorious Light. I am humbled that God allows me to be His Light to these women!

Isaiah 61:1 says, “The spirit of the sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.”

It is an honor to serve these ladies. Watching them learn what God’s love is, who they are in Christ, and seeing their relationships with our Lord growing is so beautiful. There is no greater joy than being a vessel for God’s love to these ladies and I thank Him every day for bringing me through my valley so that I can walk alongside these beautiful women in theirs.
